WikiLeaks emails: Morocco pays for the presence of Clinton in Marrakech

The main allegation that the criticisms formulated against the Clinton Foundation-is that the former president and his wife are involved in a system of “pay-to-play” in which donors including several foreign governments would pay money to the Foundation in exchange for access to or Bill Clinton, or worse, for treatment of the State Department.

The hacked emails that were published by WikiLeaks suggest that this is precisely what happened when the King of Morocco had agreed to host a summit of the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) and give $ 12 million, provided that, Hillary Clinton attends the meeting of May 5 to 7, 2015, in Marrakech, Morocco

If hrc was not part if it, meeting was a non-starter. CGI also wasn’t pushing for a meeting in Morocco and it wasn’t their first choice. This was HRC’s idea, our office approached the Moroccans and they 100 percent believe they are doing this at her request. The King has personally committed approx $12 million both for the endowment and to support the meeting. It will break a lot of china to back out now when we had so many opportunities to do it in the past few months..
