Marrakech – The 8th Marrakech Folklore Days Festival kicked off on Thursday in Marrakech with an opening night featuring artistic and folkloric performances showcasing the richness and diversity of cultures and traditions from various countries.
Under the theme “Land of Peace and Unity,” this cultural event, organized by the Heritage and Folklore Association in partnership with the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication, the Municipality of Marrakech, and other partners, is part of a shared vision to strengthen intercultural dialogue, promote Moroccan heritage, and solidify Marrakech’s position as an international hub for cultural exchange, openness, and exchange.
Through traditional dances, musical rhythms, and diverse artistic expressions, the participating artists offered the public a true cultural journey around the world, in a festive atmosphere imbued with conviviality and a spirit of connection.

He also highlighted the symbolic significance of this edition, organized on the occasion of Unity Day, which celebrates national unity and the cohesion of the Moroccan people, while honoring the values of solidarity, belonging, and fraternity.
Mr. Hassani further noted the importance of this festival in preserving Moroccan heritage and promoting it internationally.
For her part, Imane Bouchoucha, event manager at M Avenue, noted that the Marrakech Folklore Days Festival is intended as a unique opportunity to discover different cultures and explore the richness of their customs, traditions, and artistic expressions.
“Hosting this event at M Avenue reflects our commitment to supporting cultural and artistic initiatives, strengthening intercultural dialogue, and providing a meeting place where art, heritage, and entertainment come together,” she observed.
The program for this edition, which runs until October 24, includes international folk performances, cultural encounters, masterclasses, artistic exchanges, and scholarly debates, all aimed at promoting the transmission of heritage and dialogue between cultures.
