UN General Assembly: Morocco’s FM Holds Talks with Counterparts  

United Nations (New York) – Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates Nasser Bourita held a series of talks with several of his counterparts in New York on Thursday, on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.

Bourita held talks with Yemen’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Afrah Abdulaziz Al-Zouba and Iraqi Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein.

The minister also met with his peer from the Dominican Republic, Víctor Bisonó Haza, as well as Barbados’ Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Christopher Peter Sinckler.

Bourita also held talks with South Sudan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Cecilia Adut Adeng.

He also met with his Dutch counterpart, Tom Berendsen, and Ghanaian Foreign Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa.

The talks provided an opportunity to review bilateral relations and cooperation in several areas, as well as to explore ways to further consolidate them.

The parties also discussed a number of regional and international issues of common interest, as well as ways to coordinate their positions within international bodies.
