Delegation of British Baronesses had talks in Rabat

The Minister delegate to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Ms. Mbarka Bouaida, received Monday in Rabat, a British delegation of four Baronesses sitting in the House of Lords, who are performing a working visit to the Kingdom during 15-20 February, 2015.

The British delegation is composed of Baroness Uddin Manzila, a member of the Labor Party and also the Parliamentary Friendship Group with Morocco, Baroness Ushar Prashar, Baroness Meral Hussein-Ece and Baroness Alison Suttie.

During the meeting, Ms. Bouaida recalled the political, legislative and institutional undertaken by Morocco for several years, under the leadership of HM King Mohammed VI, reinforced by the implementation of the 2011 constitution that values emphasis on individual freedoms and human rights and stands as true national charter of human rights.

Ms. Bouaida also highlighted all the gains made at the Moroccan-British cooperation, welcoming in this regard the consolidation of the permanent political high-level dialogue between the two countries and strengthening the bilateral partnership, strengthened by strategic dialogue initiated in 2013 between London and Rabat.

On their part, members of the British delegation welcomed the political, economic and social efforts made by Morocco in recent years.
