The death of the Servant of the holy places of Islam, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, is a great loss for Saudi Arabia and the Arab and Muslim worlds as the deceased had spent his life for his country and was famous for his work on behalf of Arab and Islamic causes.
Since his accession to the throne of Saudi Arabia in August 2005, King Abdullah has been working to modernize his country at all levels, both political and social.
On the social front, Abdullah bin Abdulaziz has continued to work for the welfare of his people and especially for the development of the Saudi youth, evidenced by the achievements under his reign in education , culture and sports.
Politically, the action of the late King is also noteworthy to mention that its decisions, in September 2011, to grant the right to vote and the right to stand for women in municipal elections and in January 2013, granting 30 seats for women in the 150 account in the advisory council (Majlis Ashura).
The foresight of the deceased is also illustrated by the appointment in his lifetime, Prince Muqrin bin Abdulaziz as the second Crown Prince with a view to ensure, to the best possible conditions, the succession at the head of the Saudi state.
At the regional level, King Abdullah was also known for his great commitment to the unity of the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council, sparing no effort to safeguard and enhance the unitary framework despite the disruptions and crises that knows the area.
Thanks again to his foresight, Abdullah bin Abdelaziz was also able to preserve the security and stability of the country at a time when the Iraqi, Syrian and Yemeni neighbors are prey to terrorism that threatens the entire region.
diplomatically, King Abdullah was also known for his wisdom and firmness when it comes to defending Arab causes, including the Palestinian question.
Listened to and respected on the international scene, the late King had established itself as a leading player with whom the greatest world powers had to rely.
