Lower House Adopts Government Program by Absolute Majority

Rabat – The House of Representatives adopted by an absolute majority, on Thursday during a plenary session, the government program presented by the Head of Government, Fatima Ezzahra El Mansouri, before both Houses of Parliament, in accordance with Article 88 of the Constitution.

The program was adopted with 204 voices in favor and 127 against.

Through this vote, the House of Representatives bestows its confidence upon the new government, in line with Article 88 of the Constitution. Under this Article, the government is invested after obtaining the confidence of the House of Representatives, expressed by an absolute majority vote of its members in favor of the government program.

Following the adoption of its program by the House of Representatives, the new government thus fulfills the constitutional requirements to exercise its prerogatives.
