Paris – More than 80 Moroccan companies, representing various agri-food sectors, participated in the 31st edition of the International Food Exhibition (SIAL) held at the Paris Nord Villepinte Exhibition Center.
Organized by Morocco Foodex, the Moroccan participation brought together some 82 exhibitors, including 13 first-time exporters, with the aim of showcasing the diversity and richness of Moroccan products, as well as the expertise of national companies and cooperatives in the various sectors represented.
Covering an area of 1,181 m², the Moroccan pavilion was divided into two separate halls. The first, covering more than 1,005 m², was dedicated to agri-food and seafood products, while the second, covering 175.5 m², was devoted to confectionery, biscuits, and chocolate products.
On this occasion, His Majesty the King’s Ambassador to Paris, Samira Sitaïl, expressed her pride in the Kingdom’s 17th participation in the Salon, emphasizing that this participation illustrates the dynamism of the Moroccan agri-food sector and the diversity of its supply chains, supported by iconic brands that showcase national expertise.
According to her, the Moroccan pavilion offers a glimpse into the richness of national production, with a diverse range of products including olive oil, dates, sardines, as well as cereal and wheat products. She added that this diversity reflects the potential of the Moroccan agri-food sector in its various components and serves as a lever for promoting the Kingdom’s products to professionals and international markets.
Underlining the importance of SIAL as a major event for the global agri-food industry, Ms. Sitaïl emphasized the importance of supporting Moroccan exhibitors and promoting national products on the international stage, making this participation an opportunity to showcase the excellence and diversity of the Kingdom’s agri-food offerings.
For his part, Ibrahim Bouhanch, delegate of Morocco Foodex, stated that through its participation in SIAL Paris 2026, Morocco Foodex is pursuing a dual ambition: to promote the richness and diversity of Moroccan agri-food products and to establish “Made in Morocco” as an international benchmark for quality, sustainability, and responsibility.
He further specified that this edition is particularly noteworthy due to the participation of eight new companies taking part in SIAL for the first time, as well as the inclusion of 13 first-time exporters, including two companies and eleven cooperatives, from various regions of the Kingdom.
This openness to new operators illustrates Morocco Foodex’s commitment to expanding the national export base and leveraging the potential of small and medium-sized enterprises and cooperatives, particularly those specializing in local products, he noted.
Morocco’s participation in this trade fair is part of a strategy to strengthen the international visibility of Moroccan products and consolidate their position in the European market. It also provides an opportunity for participating Moroccan operators to promote their products, develop their networks of business partners, establish new business contacts, and explore new export development opportunities.
A true showcase for the global agri-food industry, SIAL PARIS brings together more than 8,000 international exhibitors from over 130 countries and 285,000 professional visitors at each edition, including importers, distributors, purchasing groups, wholesalers, manufacturers, restaurant operators, and food innovation professionals.
