Higher Council of Ulema :Eid Al Fitr Prayer Must Be Performed At Home to Safeguard the Health of Citizens

This year’s Eid Al Fitr prayer must be performed at home to safeguard the health and safety of citizens amid the coronavirus pandemic, said Wednesday the Higher Council of Ulema.

The aim is to safeguard the security and the health of citizens in the face of the spread of the deadly coronavirus pandemic, in accordance with the Quranic verse “Do not throw yourselves into destruction with your own hands”, the Council underlined in a release.

The retribution and the reward of the one who performed this prayer at home, individually or with members of his family, are the same for the one who did it in normal times at the moussala or at the mosque, the source added.
