Morocco Strongly Condemns Terrorist Attacks in Ouagadougou
Morocco on Saturday condemned “in the strongest terms” the deadly terrorist attacks in Ouagadougou and expressed its solidarity with the people and government of Burkina Faso.
“The Kingdom of Morocco condemns in the strongest terms the terrorist attacks in Ouagadougou, which claimed the lives of dozens of people”, the Foreign Affairs and Cooperation ministry said in a statement.
The Kingdom, which has supported the democratic process of transition in Burkina Faso, condemns these attacks aimed at undermining peace and harmony in this brotherly country, as well as the efforts made with the support of the international community to lay the democratic institutions that have been freely elected by the people of Burkina Faso, the same source added.
Expressing its solidarity with the people and government of Burkina Faso and offering its condolences to the families of the victims, Morocco calls on the international community to increase its commitment to fight terrorism, the statement concluded.
