Morocco to Host Islamic Organisation Heads of States Summit
Morocco will soon host a summit of countries of the Islamic Cooperation Organisation, on the review of the situation in Palestine and Al Quds. This is the first of its kind under the reign of Mohammed VI. It’s the return of the kingdom to the Islamic scene after 21 years of absence.
The new candidancy of Morocco to host international summits. it is being prepared regarding the upcoming special meeting of the Heads of States of the Islamic Cooperation Organisation, which will be devoted exclusively to the review of the situation in Palestine and the holy city of Al Quds, today a statement from the OIC. The text says that the Kingdom has agreed to host the meeting in its territory. Apparently consultations with the Moroccan side are on track. It remains to fix the date and venue of the summit, the source added.
This summit will be organized in response to the call of the Palestinian president, Mahmoud Abbas, following the proliferation of Israeli aggression against citizens and Muslim places of worship, including Al-Quds. The largest international event will be also organized during the reign of Mohammed VI.
