Washington – The United States of America expressed “pride” in respect of “strategic” and “secular” Moroccan-American partnership and say “proud” to have Morocco As a partner to a wide range of issues covering particular areas of culture, education and military cooperation, said the US Secretary of State, John Kerry, in a statement issued Thursday by the Department of State.
“On behalf of President Obama and the American people, I offer my best wishes to His Majesty King Mohammed VI and the Moroccan people, while they are celebrating the Feast of the Throne,” the chief US diplomat.
“The United States is proud of the partnership with Morocco on a wide range of issues including covering the fields of culture, in terms of educational exchanges and military cooperation,” said Mr. Kerry.
Kerry emphasizes that “our partnership is a strategic partnership and we work every day together to advance our common priorities so that the region of North Africa and the Middle East is more secure, more stable and more prosperous.”
John Kerry, in this context recalled that Rabat and Washington “share a strong common commitment to improve economic opportunities and prosperity for all Moroccans and develop the entrepreneurial ecosystem and resources in the sector education “.
“We applaud the recent commitments made by the public and private sectors in Morocco to create more jobs for young people”, he praised, noting that “our constructive engagement with the Government of Morocco, the Moroccan youth, private sector and civil society to help the Moroccan people to achieve their aspirations. ”
From a broader perspective, “we are delighted to expanding the scope of our cooperation with Morocco when we get down we treat international and regional security challenges,” said Kerry, adding that the United States “applauded Morocco’s leadership with regard to efforts to counter violent extremism.”
