Rabat – Thunderstorms with a risk of hail and strong winds are expected in several provinces of the Kingdom on Tuesday and Wednesday, according to the General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM).

Rainfall amounts ranging from 30 to 40 mm are expected this Tuesday from 9:15 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. in the provinces of Inezgane-Ait Melloul, Tarfaya, Assa-Zag, Guelmim, Tata, Chtouka-Ait Baha, Sidi Ifni, Taroudant, Tiznit, Qued Ed-Dahab, Boujdour, Aousserd, Tan-Tan, Es-Semara, Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, and Laayoune, the DGM (National Meteorological Directorate) specified in an orange-level weather alert bulletin.

This same phenomenon is expected on Tuesday from noon to 11 p.m. in the provinces of Mdiq-Fnideq, Tinghir, Al Haouz, Chichaoua, El Kelaa des Sraghna, Essaouira, Marrakech, Rehamna, Driouch, Figuig, Nador, Youssoufia, Azilal, Ouarzazate, Beni Mellal, Fquih Ben Salah, Errachidia, Midelt, Settat, Khouribga, Al Hoceima, Chefchaouen, Fahs-Anjra, and Tetouan, the same source adds.

These showers are also forecast for Wednesday from midnight to noon in the provinces of El Jadida, Safi, Kenitra, Sidi Bennour, Al Hoceima, Chefchaouen, Fahs-Anjra, Larache, Ouezzane, Tangier-Assilah, Tetouan, and Mdiq-Fnideq, the alert concludes.
