The Award of Merit at the 22nd World recitation contest and explanation of the Quran was presented Tuesday in Cairo, to the young Moroccan Mohamed Abdelalim Alatrach.
This prize was awarded to the Moroccan at a ceremony organized by the Egyptian Ministry of Awqaf in the presence of Egyptian President Abdelfettah Al-Sissi and during which a tribute was paid to the winners of the contest.
King ambassador in Egypt and Permanent Delegate of the Kingdom with the Arab League, Mohamed Saad Alami was awarded the merit due to the absence of the recipient of the award.
Mohamed Abdelalim Alatrach was selected among the winners of the 22nd World recitation contest and explanation of the Qur’an which was organized by the Egyptian Ministry of Waqf from 19 to 23 April 2015.
Young Moroccan won this award alongside other candidates who took part in the competition in its various categories and represent several countries: Egypt, Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Bangladesh, Burundi, Pakistan, Chad, Gabon, Kuwait, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Myanmar and Canada.
