Thunderstorms, Hail, and Wind Gusts Expected Friday in Several Moroccan Provinces

Rabat – Heavy thunderstorms with hail and wind gusts are expected Friday in several Moroccan provinces, the General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM) said.

Rainfall of 20 to 30 millimeters is forecast from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the provinces of Errachidia, Midelt, Boulemane, Guercif, Figuig and Taourirt, the DGM said in an orange-level weather alert.

The same weather conditions are expected from noon Friday to midnight in the provinces of Ifrane, Khenifra, Al Haouz, Chichaoua, El Kelaa des Sraghna, Tata, Ouarzazate, Taroudant, Tinghir, Zagora, Khouribga, Settat, Essaouira, Marrakech, Rehamna, Youssoufia, Azilal, Beni Mellal and Fquih Ben Salah, the same source added.
