Quick group returns to Morocco before the end of 2015

The Belgian Quick fast food restaurant will open two stores in Morocco before the end of the year. The group was already present in the kingdom in 2003.

Quick returns to Morocco. The Belgian group of fast food has announced the upcoming opening of two stores in Morocco, confirming rumors earlier this year. Both stores will be open in Rabat and Casablanca in collaboration with tenor Group, a holding company that operates in the field of services such as insurance and distribution, reports the African Economic Information Agency Ecofin. The announcement was made by Cedric Dugardin, CEO of Quick, at the opening of the first sign of the group in Tunis, Monday, April 20.

“Our presence in three countries with high potential falls as an important step in the expansion of our brand internationally,” said Cedric Dugardin. The fast food group has indeed opened 10 new franchises in Morocco, Tunisia and Turkey.

Quick has already invested in Morocco. The group had opened a restaurant in Casablanca in January 2003, with the ambition to create eight in partnership with the Moroccan Recreation from 2003 to 2005. However the collaboration between the two companies had deteriorated after three years. The Belgian group was then terminated its franchise agreements for linking the Moroccan Entertainment in May 2006. The group had complained of counterfeits of its brand.
