Official opening of the 3rd edition of Halieutis salon
The Minister of Agriculture and Marine Fisheries, Aziz Akhannouch gave Wednesday in Agadir, the official kickoff of the third Halieutis Show, which runs from February 18 to 22 under the motto “the sea of the future Man. ”
Under the patronage of HM King Mohammed VI, this edition started with the participation of 37 countries, including 22 African, and more than 320 national and international brands and companies.
During the opening ceremony, an official delegation, which included the Ministers of Economy and Finance, Mohamed Boussaid and Industry, trade, investment and the Digital Economy, Moulay Hafid Elalamy and the Minister Delegate to the Minister of the Interior Charki Draiss has toured the different stands of the fair.
The Exhibition is organized around five complementary divisions, namely the fleet pole and fishing gear, the valuation process and pole, an international center dedicated to entrepreneurs and foreign institutions of the fisheries sector, an institutional division dedicated to public and private institutions, as well as sponsors of the Exhibition and animation center that hosts several educational activities for the general public.
More than 60,000 visitors are expected at this edition after the great influx recorded during the 2013 with more than 45 thousand visitors.
Organized since 2011 by the Halieutis Fair Association, the event aims to be a platform for exchange at various national and international actors working for the development of the fisheries sector.
Dedicated to careers in marine fisheries, aquaculture and fishing industries, the Salon also wants a promotion and exchange platform around the news and concerns of stakeholders.
The first two days are reserved for professionals and to promote the sector including the Moroccan fishing as a whole and develop exchanges and partnerships between national and international operators. The public is invited as him discover the culture and the rich fishing heritage the next two days.
The Fair is also enriched by an intense round of debates and lectures by renowned Moroccan and foreign specialists discuss themes and issues making the news and the future of the sector.
