RAM is the first airline in the Mediterranean region to buy this aircraft which was delivered on Dec. 31, 2014 from Boeing’s Everett, Wash. Delivery Center.

Boasting state-of-the-art civil aviation technologies, the mid-size, wide-body airplane is designed to accommodate 273 passengers including 18 in the business class. It uses technologies that enable low fuel consumption and low carbon emissions.

The Dreamliner features larger, electronically dimmable windows and larger overhead luggage bins. During flight, the 787 is pressurized to a lower cabin altitude, has higher humidity levels, advanced air filtration and smoother-ride technology to make the flying experience more comfortable.

The new airplane, first in a batch of B787 ordered by RAM, will enter service on January 19 with a first medium-range flight.

The Sovereign then handed distinctions to several Moroccan and foreign figures, including Wissam Al Arch with the Knight rank to Ihssane Mounir, Sales Director at Boeing, and to Bouchra Bernoussi, first female pilot at RAM.

The Sovereign extended the Alawite Wissam distinction with the rank of Officer to Geoffery Weston, an international expert who elaborated RAM’s adjustment plan.

HM the King also granted the Wissam AL Moukafaa Al Watania with the Officer rank to Ilham Kazzini, Director in charge of Development at RAM and to Kawtar El Iraki Tantaoui, aeronautical engineer in charge of technical management of RAM’s fleet respectively.

The Monarch granted to Latifa El Youmi, the chief of RAM’s largest commercial agency and Zohra Bahloul, dean of RAM’s employees, with the Wissam Al Moukafaa Al Watania with the rank of Knight.
