Al Quds – The Bayt Mal Al Quds Asharif Agency, under the Al Quds Committee chaired by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, continues to support Palestinian farmers during the olive harvest season within the framework of the “Aouna 2026” campaign, launched on October 6, to benefit 2,250 farmers across 20 areas in the Al Quds governorate, covering 16 agricultural access points.
Agency teams joined Thursday the Al Quds governorate and numerous Palestinian institutions in olive harvesting operations in the town of Beit Anan, northwest of Al Quds, in line with the Agency’s approach, which follows the High Guidelines of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, which aim to continue implementing projects that have a tangible impact on various segments of the Palestinian population.
This campaign provides them with agricultural equipment, particularly harvesting tools, olive picking combs and ladders, to help farmers speed up harvesting and protect their crops, amid difficulties to access their lands and repeated attacks targeting them.
On this occasion, coordinator of the campaign ”Aouna” in Al Quds governorate Tahani Al-Louzi said the Beit Anan was chosen to host the campaign’s central activity due to repeated settler attacks, particularly given the presence of a colonial outpost nearby and attacks targeting farmers and their lands.
Occupation forces had forced their way into the site where farmers and representatives of the national active forces of the Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission and Al Quds governorate had gathered to support Beit Anan farmers during the olive harvest season, in an attempt to intimidate them and warn them against approaching a colonial outpost established by a settler on the town’s land.
