Air Passenger Traffic at Mohammed V Airport increased in May

Air passenger traffic at the Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca recorded a slight increase of 2.95% in May 2015.

This increase reflects the increase the influx of travelers enjoying the services of the airport whose numbers will swell from 658,079 passengers in May 2014 to 677,514 travelers during the same period this year, according to statistics from the National Board of Airports (ONDA).

Thus the Casablanca Mohammed V International Airport has captured nearly 44.76% of total passenger transiting through the different airports of the Kingdom whose number reached 1,513,702 passengers, the source added.

And explain that this evolution is due to the increase in the number of passengers after the slight decline in air traffic between January and April deniers with a rate of 1.3%.

According ONDA, most Moroccan airports have experienced last May a variable growth in passengers originating in Morocco and abroad except Rabat-Salé airport, Nador, Al Hoceima, Oujda and Dakhla who were down on their traffic oscillating between 1.8 and 35.38%.
