Morocco participates at  London International Exhibition of Food and Beverage

The International Food and Beverage Exhibition of London opened its doors Sunday with the participation of 1,350 exhibitors from sixty countries including Morocco.

Dedicated to professionals in the food industry and gastronomy, this show, which will last four days, will be an opportunity for Moroccan companies operating in the agri-food sector to showcase their products, known for their high quality and meet the highest international standards in the market.

Twenty Moroccan exhibitors taking part in the 2015 edition of the “International Food & Drinks Event” in a pavilion erected on an area of ​​291 m², which displays a wide range of food industry products.

The participation of Moroccan companies in this global event is initiated by “Morocco Export” in the context of its mission to accompany international companies, by providing support and assistance to their development.

Moroccan presence at the annual meeting place for importers and exporters of the world’s food, help Moroccan exporters to meet distributors and explore partnership opportunities in this promising sector.

In Morocco, the agribusiness sector is a valuation factor and regulation of agricultural production. It occupies an important place in the industrial sector through its participation in the improvement of the trade balance and job creation.

According to the Exchange Office, the sector contributes on average 16 pc of GDP through its agricultural upstream and 4 pc in regard to its agro-industrial downstream and nearly 44 pc to 10 pc of employment and to total exports.

The agriculture and food sector reached in 2013, 10.4 per cent of national exports and has posted an average annual growth rate of 7.1 per cent over the last five years.
