Mohammed VI Investment Fund Publishes its First Impact Report

Rabat – The Mohammed VI Investment Fund (FM6I) announces the publication of its first Impact Report, covering the 2025 fiscal year.

This publication marks a significant milestone in the Fund’s efforts to report on the scope of its interventions and their contribution to the Kingdom’s economic and social development, in line with the High Directives of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, the Fund stated in a press release.

Announced in the Royal Address of July 2020 and operational since the end of 2022, the FM6I has strengthened its position and its role as a catalyst for productive investment, the same source noted.

This first report, prepared in accordance with the highest international reporting standards (Global Reporting Initiative (GRI)), presents the results of the Fund’s first year of investment and puts into perspective its role in financing the productive economy, mobilizing private capital, and supporting businesses and strategic sectors.

With an initial capital of 15 billion dirhams (MAD), the FM6I is deploying an intervention model based on three guiding principles: double profitability, additionality, and the multiplier effect.

Through its direct investments, indirect interventions via private equity and venture capital funds, and innovative financing instruments, particularly subordinated debt, it aims to mobilize additional resources and amplify investment in support of the national economy.

By the end of 2025, the Fund had committed MAD 7.2 billion in equity, contributed to the financing of 52 companies, and supported more than 15,000 jobs, according to the press release.

Its interventions covered the six priority sectors of its mandate and were deployed across all regions of the Kingdom. Private equity activities, for their part, mobilized 19 billion dirhams (MMDH), including 14.4 billion dirhams from third-party investors, illustrating the Fund’s ability to generate a multiplier effect beyond its own resources.

Beyond the financial results, the report highlights the FM6I’s contributions to strengthening productive capacities, developing strategic infrastructure, structuring investment ecosystems, and creating jobs.

It also highlights the cross-cutting importance given to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues, integrated into investment and portfolio monitoring processes, in line with the United Nations Principles for Responsible Investment (UNPRI), which the Fund signed on the sidelines of COP28 2023.

This first report thus lays the foundation for a structured approach to measuring and evaluating the economic, social, and environmental impact of the Fund’s interventions.

It reflects its commitment to progressively strengthening the monitoring of its results and to embedding its actions within a framework of continuous improvement and sustainable value creation for the Kingdom and its territories, the press release concludes.
