His Majesty King Mohammed VI will preside over the opening of the first session of the first legislative year of the twelfth legislative term on Friday, October 9, 2026 (corresponding to 27 Rabi’ II 1448 AH), according to a statement released by the Ministry of the Royal Household, Protocol, and Chancellery.
The ceremony will take place at the Parliament headquarters in Rabat. On this occasion, His Majesty the King will deliver a Royal Address before the members of both houses of Parliament: the House of Representatives and the House of Councillors.
The event and Royal Speech will be broadcast live on national radio and television starting at 3:45 PM on Friday afternoon.
