Taghazout Among the “10 Destinations to Discover Worldwide,” According to FlightHub

The seaside resort of Taghazout, located north of Agadir, is among the ten destinations highlighted by the Canadian travel platform FlightHub in its annual report, “FlightHub Unveiled 2026,” dedicated to travel trends. Taghazout is presented as “a Moroccan destination with a unique identity, driven in particular by surfing, outdoor activities, beach culture, and a relaxed lifestyle.”

Taghazout’s inclusion in this selection illustrates another development in Moroccan tourism: beyond the major destinations historically known to international travelers, such as Marrakech and Casablanca, smaller cities and regions are also beginning to gain visibility among North American audiences, according to FlightHub. This comes amidst growing interest from North American travelers in Morocco. Data from FlightHub indicates that Canadian travelers spend an average of 15 nights in Morocco, noting that this average length of stay reflects the Kingdom’s appeal for relatively longer trips, beyond simple short getaways.

Ayoub Hissar, Director of Communications for FlightHub Group, believes that “Taghazout accurately reflects the diversification of tourism in Morocco,” in that smaller destinations, with a strong identity centered around surfing, skateboarding, and beach culture, are beginning to find their place among North American travelers. “Our data also shows that travelers from Quebec book trips to Morocco in a significantly higher proportion than those from the rest of Canada, making it a particularly attractive market for the destination,” he pointed out. “Connectivity reinforces this dynamic. With the direct Montreal-Agadir connection, the entire region becomes much more accessible from Quebec, and Taghazout is less than an hour from Agadir.” “This is exactly the kind of development that can allow less traditionally known Moroccan destinations in North America to gain visibility,” he added.

The Moroccan destination is included in this selection alongside Seyðisfjörður, Iceland; Sarandë, Albania; Ilha Grande, Brazil; Montreal, Canada; Buenos Aires, Argentina; Hong Kong, China; Tahiti, French Polynesia; Seoul, South Korea; and London, United Kingdom. According to FlightHub, this selection highlights ten destinations representing different “rhythms and energies” of travel, beyond traditional tourist categories. The “FlightHub Unveiled 2026” report is based on search and booking data made on the platform in Canada and the United States.
