2026 Legislative Elections: The PAM Aims for a Position Enabling It to Implement Its Program and Fully Assume Responsibility (Ms. El Mansouri)

Marrakech – The Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM) aims to secure a position in the upcoming legislative elections that will allow it to implement its program and fully assume responsibility for it, stated Fatima Zahra El Mansouri, coordinator of the party’s collective leadership.

In an interview with MAP, Ms. El Mansouri indicated that her party’s ambition is to gain the trust of Moroccans and to occupy the position that will enable it to implement its program while fully assuming responsibility.

“The real challenge for the party also lies in gaining the trust of citizens, especially young people who expect a great deal from politics and political parties,” she continued, adding that it is the party’s responsibility to restore political action to its true meaning, based on listening, accessibility, service to citizens, the ability to achieve results, and ensuring that responsibility goes hand in hand with accountability.

The PAM has accumulated experience in exercising responsibilities at the municipal, regional, parliamentary, and national levels, and aims to occupy a position that allows it to influence the course of events and bring about change, she argued, emphasizing the need for convergence in political action.

Regarding the party’s preparations for the legislative elections, Ms. El Mansouri noted that the PAM (Authenticity and Modernity Party) had begun these preparations some time ago at several levels, particularly within the electoral committee, which has been working for approximately 15 months to assess data from all electoral districts, as well as the profiles and skills of candidates.

“The goal is to select the candidate best suited to represent the party in each district, in order to offer citizens better representation,” she explained.

The party has opened its doors to qualified individuals, both men and women, from different regions and fields, Ms. El Mansouri continued, adding that the electoral program, which was developed by the PAM academy, was discussed within the various party structures before being presented to the National Council.

She further explained that a process of listening and communicating on the ground was also undertaken, particularly with young people, to gain a thorough understanding of their concerns and formulate appropriate responses.

Regarding the party’s electoral program, it is based on five charters and 20 commitments that can be implemented and monitored, and “not on a long list of promises,” the national coordinator of the PAM leadership emphasized.

Among the program’s top priorities is improving citizens’ purchasing power, with 150 billion dirhams allocated to this area over a five-year period, she indicated. She also mentioned the need to enable young people to benefit from education and training and to access the job market, the ultimate goal being to build an independent life that guarantees their dignity.

Furthermore, the concept of the welfare state must be put into practice so that citizens can tangibly experience its impact in their daily lives, noted Ms. El Mansouri, citing other challenges related to water, energy, food, and scientific security, as well as growth and sustainability.

“The financing of any social policy cannot take place without a strong economy, sustainable wealth creation, and employment opportunities,” she concluded.
