the Participation of Morocco in 1st Arab-European Summit in Sharm El Sheikh

Sharm El Sheikh (Egypt) – The first Arab-European Summit opened Sunday in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt, in the presence of several Arab and European Heads of State and Government.

Morocco is represented by a delegation led by Head of Government, Saad Dine El Otmani.

The Summit is marked by the participation of the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Federica Mogherini, President of the European Council, Donald Tusk, and Secretary-General of the Arab League, Ahmed Aboul Gheit.

Leaders from both sides will seek to strengthen Arab-European ties and will also address a wide range of issues and common challenges, such as multilateralism, trade and investment, migration, security and the situation in the region.

The summit will also provide an opportunity for leaders to discuss the latest developments in the region, such as the Middle East Peace Process and the situation in Yemen, in Libya and in Syria.
