The Moroccan city of Marrakesh is in the top 20 destinations chosen by French people to celebrate the new year, said world’s largest hotel search website “trivago.fr” on Thursday.
The analysis based on hotel search made by French tourists shows that Marrakesh ranks seventh in their choices.
The city is also among the most French-coveted, non-European cities for new year celebrations, namely New York (5th), Dubai (6th) and Bangkok (20th).
Marrakesh is today one of the busiest cities in Africa and serves as a major economic center and tourist destination.
