The Wall Street Journal on Monday highlighted the “crucial” contribution of Morocco, which allowed French counterterrorism investigators to track the mastermind of the terrorist attacks that

“That crucial piece of intelligence, supplied by Morocco, allowed French counterterrorism investigators to track Mr. Abaaoud to an apartment building in a Paris suburb, where Mr. Abaaoud, Ms. Aït Boulahcen and a third person, still unidentified, were killed Wednesday in a two-hour battle with police”, the US daily underlined.

The paper recalled that HM King Mohammed VI was received, Friday at the Elysee Palace, by French President François Hollande, noting that after the meeting, Mr. Hollande expressed France’s gratitude for the “efficient assistance” the country provided after the Paris attacks.

During this audience, the two heads of State also voiced the shared determination of France and Morocco to fight terrorism and radicalization together and endeavor to settle regional and international crises.
