Moroccan Top Military Official Meets US Secretary of Air Forces
Upon instructions of HM King Mohammed VI, supreme chief and general chief of staff of the Royal Armed forces (FAR), General de Corps d’Armée, FAR general inspector and commander of the Southern zone, met on Monday with US secretary of the air forces, Deborah Lee James.
The meeting, held in the presence of US ambassador in Morocco, reviewed bilateral cooperation, says a release of the FAR general chief of staff.
Lee James praised Morocco’s counter-terrorism efforts through its engagement with the international coalition in Yemen and the inter-Libyan dialogue, the source said.
The two officials hailed the positive Morocco-US military cooperation which encompasses reciprocal support, training, joint exercises, exchange of information visits and participation in training. They also examined opportunities to expand cooperation to improve inter-operability between the two armies by trading experience and expertise.
The US secretary of the air force also toured the training center of FAR social services and met female officers serving as pilots, physicians and social workers.
