Bernardino Leon Skhirat Resumes Consultations with Libyan Parties

The head of the National General Congress delegation (CGN) of inter-Libyan talks Skhirat Abdessadek Awad, told the press that “we met Mr. Leon Monday night but the leader of the dialogue group decided to go to London following the developments that took place in Tripoli to meet with the President and members of the CGN before resuming consultations in Skhirat. ”

Bernardino Leon had said that the UN has drafted a text of a “definitive” agreement “consensus” stressing that it is now up to Libyan parties to approve or reject the agreement.

Mr. Leon said that each party “find (in the agreement) of the elements may not satisfy,” stressing that in view of the situation in Libya, this agreement constitutes the “only solution” and ” only option “.

In this new round of inter-Libyan political dialogue, who knows the participation of all parties, the parties are working to reach a political agreement on the Libyan crisis and the formation of a national unity government.

The city of Skhirat hosted last July, the initialling of an agreement between the different parties present, including leaders of political parties who took part in the 6th round of inter-Libyan political talks under the auspices of UN, but in the absence of representatives of CGN.
