The Moroccan athlete Kulthum Bouasria and Kenyan Amos Kiprono Kaptich won respectively the male and female competitions of the 6th edition of the “10 Km International”, played Sunday at Tahanaout in the province of El Haouz, with the participation of more than 1,200 runners from different nationalities.
Bouasria dominated the event in 34min 10sec, followed closely by the Kenyan and Ethiopian Violah Jepchumba Seifu Amare Meskerem, with 34:39 and 35:15 respectively.
In men, Kaptich won this race with a time of 29:52, ahead Moroccans Bounasser Saleh, one second (29:53) and Jaouad El Jazouli third in 30:11.
This competition, which has become a major-sporting events, is organized by the Grand Atlas Association and the prefecture of the province of El Haouz, in coordination with, in particular, the Athletics League Marrakech-Tansift region -El Haouz and the city council of the city of Tahanaout.
