The President of the French Republic, SEM. Francois Hollande arrived, early Saturday afternoon in Tangier for a friendly visit and official working in the Kingdom of Morocco at the invitation of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
To his arrival at the airport Ibn Battuta, the French head of state was welcomed by His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
The delegation accompanying HE. Francois Hollande during his visit of friendship and official working in the Kingdom of Morocco is composed including Laurent Fabius, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Development, Ms Ségolène Royal, Minister for Ecology, Sustainable Development and Energy, Ms. Najat Vallaud-Belkacem, Minister of National Education, Higher Education and Research, Mrs Myriam El Khomri, Minister of Labour, Employment, Vocational Training and Social Dialogue, Mr Jean-Marie Le Guen, State Secretary for Relations with Parliament, Elisabeth Guigou, Member of Seine Saint Denis, president of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Assembly, Mr. Michel Vauzelle, MP, Bouches du Rhône, Vice President of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the National Assembly.
His Majesty King Mohammed VI had on Saturday at the Palais Marchane in Tangier, official talks with President of the French Republic, SEM. Francois Hollande, who is on a working visit and friendship in the Kingdom.
After talks the two head of states chaired a ceremony of agreement signing. The first agreement was about religion, in which France considers Islam the balance advocated by Morocco as a “valuable reference,” said the Elysee Palace, Paris reiterating determination to further deepen bilateral cooperation in the fight against radicalization.
“France shares the Moroccan approach where the response to the emergence of groups like Boko Haram Daech or must go through a diplomatic and security action, downstream but also through action on the prevention of radicalization, upstream “said the French Presidency in a document released on the occasion of the visit of friendship and official work that on 19 and 20 September in Morocco, French President Francois Hollande, at the invitation of HM King Mohammed VI.
