Moroccan-American Fashion Designer Khadija Mouh Ambassador of Moroccan Caftan in USA
In Europe and in the Middle East, the Moroccan caftan have flourished, as luxurious pieces of apparel with famous names leading the charge. But in America, the Moroccan caftan is still relatively foreign with designers and stylists not giving it the proper recognition it deserves.
Moroccan-American Designer Khadija Mouh has been leading the fight to change that with her traditional and modern designs. For over 30 years, Mouh has showed people in the United States the elegance, beauty, and versatility synonymous to the caftan. After completing her education at Lalla Aicha Designs School Twaraga in Rabat and at the Katherine Gibbs School of Fashion Design in New York City. She later earned an event and wedding planning ETI small business certificate at Rutgers University.
Fashion is a big part of your program and Khadija Mouh is the expert on Moroccan fashion in the United States. She was showcased at Africa Fashion Week two years in a row, interviewed by the program ART America, and has had many successful fashion and Moroccan events including her annual Lalla Laaroussa Fashion Show where Moroccans and Americans from New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Virginia, Philadelphia, Boston, Orlando, and Washington D.C. gushed over the detail of the designs.
