In a call for peace issued and signed in 5 languages (Arabic, Amazigh, French, Spanish and English), these children have expressed the wish to see peace dominate a safe world where hopes will emerge, away from the hazards of discord, of animosities and conflicts.
The children of the world and because of their conclave in Rabat, an opportunity to challenge adults to the need to put into practice the theme of the festival “Children of Peace”.
The children of the world singed in the Moroccan parliament in Rabat “Rabat Call for peace”, they brought with them their culture, their smiles and optimism, to give rise to a peaceful coexistence moment in which language and identity differences give way to coexistence, tolerance, dialogue, peace and security.
Children composed of troops representing Georgia, Slovenia, Mexico, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Thailand, Ukraine, Indonesia, Venezuela, France, Spain, Russia, Belarus, Serbia, Poland, Malaysia, the United States, Libya, Palestine, Egypt, Ivory Coast, Gabon and Congo Brazzaville, besides folk troupes come different regions of the Kingdom.
The 9th edition of the International Festival of Children’s Folklore was closed on Tuesday evening in Rabat, with the exhibition of paintings and folk dances presented by children from 28 countries on five continents.
Many came, the public Rbati was also gratified by artistic performances. The festival started with the theme “Children of Peace” aims to be a annual event by the cries of children to live in a world of peace, security and tolerance.
Speaking on the occasion, the founding president of the Festival, Abderrahmane Rouijel, said that organized this edition, for a week, by the Bouregreg Association and under the Honorary Presidency of HRH Princess Lalla Meryem was marked by a record participation of countries and also children (700).
He further stressed that the success of this event and previous editions is the result of serious work and responsible stakeholders.
The International Festival of Children’s Folklore has become a space to know the country’s history and the major projects initiated under the leadership of HM King Mohammed VI.
Furthermore, the program of this event was also marked by the completion of the largest painting of peace, with the participation of all the countries that participated in this event, in addition to a huge carnival that has traveled the most important arteries the city.
