Washington – Moroccan Ms. Aicha Ech-chenna, President and Founder of Feminine Solidarity Association won in Washington, the price of the World Bank’s best leader in social accountability for the Middle East and North Africa (Mena).
“I am honored by this award which is recognition for Morocco and for the principles of solidarity that are the foundations of our country,” said Ms. Ech-chenna in a statement from the World Bank on Monday.
The award, under the Global Partnership for Social Accountability (GPSA), an initiative of the World Bank Group aims to reward each year the best leaders in the world having taken action or social accountability initiatives that have to meet a challenge of the fight against exclusion and vulnerability.
The president of the Feminine Solidarity Association added that the improvement of living conditions “our compatriots is a passion to me for over 30 years, so this is more than a duty, it is a mission which is close to my heart. ”
Ech-chenna received the award during the GPSA Forum which was held on 12 and 13 May in Washington.
