Casablanca – His Majesty King Mohammed VI received on Friday at the Royal Palace in Casablanca, Ms. Valentina Matvienko, Chairperson of the Council of Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, who makes a working visit to Morocco, said a statement from the Royal Cabinet.
On this occasion, Ms. Valentina Matvienko has delivered a written message from Russian President SE Vladimir Putin to His Majesty the King for an official visit to the Russian Federation.
The visit of Mrs. Matvienko fits into the framework of the excellent relations binding the two countries and will strengthen the multidimensional strategic partnership, signed since 2002 by His Majesty the King and President Vladimir Putin, the statement said.
The audience was attended by Mr. Ilyas Umakhanov, deputy chairman of the Federation Council, representative of the executive authority of the Republic of Dagestan, Vladimir Djabarov, Senior Vice President the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Federation Council, representing the legislative authority of the Jewish Autonomous Region and Mr Valery Vorobiev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Kingdom of Morocco. and on the Moroccan side by the President of the House of Councillors, Mr Mohamed Sheikh Biadillah.
