HM the King of talks with Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi
Abu Dhabi – His Majesty King Mohammed VI made Monday a working visit and brotherhood to the State of the United Arab Emirates.
A statement from the Royal Cabinet indicates that occasion, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the United Arab Emirates State, hosted an official reception in the honor of His Majesty the King, marked in particular by bilateral talks.
HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has decorated His Majesty King Mohammed VI of Wissam ‘Zayed’, the highest award the United Arab Emirates.
The visit comes within the framework of coordination and permanent dialogue between the leadership of both countries, especially after the official visit of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has business in the Kingdom of Morocco on 17 and 18 March 2015 .
During the meeting, His Majesty the King and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan welcomed the depth of strong personal fraternal ties between the two leaders and the two families sisters. They also reiterated their commitment to continue the action, at the highest level, to strengthen relations of cooperation and solidarity between the two countries, which date back more than four centuries, and to reach the level of an exemplary strategic partnership.
In this context, emphasis was placed on the need to strengthen this cooperation in various economic, development, social, religious, military and security, an ambition reflected in the large delegation accompanying His Majesty the King and includes including ministers of finance, agriculture, energy, industry and commerce, and of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, besides senior security and military officials.
In the same context, a call was launched to explore more concrete projects in harmony with the structural development programs and to continue developing and implementing a participatory approach, which adhere the various players of the sectors public and private.
His Majesty the King also praised the ambitious diplomatic initiatives undertaken by the State of the UAE at regional and international levels, and achievements made, and strengthen its position as acting and influential regional actor.
The two sides also welcomed the relations of brotherhood and solidarity uniting the Kingdom of Morocco to the countries of the Cooperation Council of Arab Gulf countries and stressed the need to promote and expand their areas in view of Building a successful partnership in all its strategic dimensions, for it consolidates the existing bilateral cooperation between Morocco and each of the States of the Gulf Cooperation Council.
To consolidate the extension of Moroccan-Emirati relations in the field of trilateral cooperation, it was agreed to develop a new generation of projects likely to strengthen South-South cooperation in its development dimensions and solidarity, especially with African countries and support their development process, as a strategic direction for the achievement of security, stability and overall development of the countries concerned for the good of their brothers peoples.
Given the threat posed by the phenomenon of extremism and terrorism to security and stability, the focus was on the integrated approach to deal with extremist ideology leading to terrorism and that, in its dimension and social development, his enlightened religious discourse and its security components.
Based on the historical relations binding the two countries, it was agreed to continue their coordination through the strategic dialogue mechanisms on various bilateral, regional and international issues of common interest and contribution to the resolution of Arab conflicts peaceful means in accordance with the national unity of the country and its territorial integrity.
The two sides of the same stressed the need to review the system of joint Arab action, to opt for an integrated and holistic vision, based on the seriousness, realism and the spirit of collective responsibility, and for the proactive action to resolve conflicts experienced some Arab countries, as part of an integrated vision encompassing the preservation of security and stability, the action for the realization of economic integration and the promotion of human development.
In the light of the particular situation and the major challenges experienced by the Arab region, the two parties have registered, with deep appreciation, the convergence of views and solidarity that mark the positions of Morocco and the United Arab Emirates on all issues and crises in some Arab countries, both in Yemen and Syria, in Iraq and Libya, as part of a participatory approach based on dialogue and the involvement of different components their peoples.
On the occasion of this visit, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the United Arab Emirates State, hosted a luncheon in honor of His King Mohammed VI and the delegation accompanying the King.
