Rabat – international reserves stood at 182.2 billion dirhams (billion dirhams) till 17 April 2015, up 20.8 per cent per year, announced BAM ( BAM).
These reserves have been almost stagnant compared to the previous week, said BAM which has just published its weekly indicators.
During the period from 16 to 22 April 2015, the Central Bank has injected $ 43 billion dirhams, including 27 billion in the form of 7-day advances on tender and 16 billion dirhams in respect of secured lending, granted as part of the support program to finance the TPME.
Over the same period, the interbank rate remained unchanged from the previous week to 2.50 pc, while the average daily trading volume increased from 5.3 billion dirhams to 5.6 billion dirhams.
At the tender of 22 April, Bank Al-Maghrib decided to inject $ 19 billion dirhams under 7 days in advance.
Year on year, the growth rate of M3 has registered a slight acceleration from 7.4 pc in January to 7.6 pc in February.
During the period from 16 to 22 April 2015, the dirham depreciated by 0.45 pc against the euro and appreciated by 0.69 per cent vis-à-vis the dollar.
