Dialogue inter-Libya: Ban Ki-moon thanked Morocco for its “strong support”
New York – The Secretary General of the UN, Ban Ki-moon thanked Morocco for its “strong support” in the inter-Libyan dialogue conducted under the auspices of the UN and for the “close cooperation” with the Kingdom’s Special Representative for Libya Bernardino Leon, said Saturday a statement from the office of the World Health Organization spokesman in New York.
In an interview with the Head of government, Abdelilah Benkirane, at the margins of the 26 th Arab Summit taking place in Sharm el-Sheikh in Egypt, Ban “thanked Morocco for its strong support for the UN mediation process in Libya and for the close cooperation of the Kingdom with the Special Representative for Libya, Bernardino Leon, “said the press release.
The two sides also discussed the issue of the Moroccan Sahara.
The head of government, Abdelilah Benkirane, met with the United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on Saturday on the sidelines of the 26 th Arab Summit to be held in Sharm el-Sheikh in Egypt.
