A Libyan negotiator welcomes Morocco’s efforts for the success of inter-Libyan political talks

Skhirate – Mohamed Cherif Ouafi, a member of the Committee on Inter-Libyan political dialogue, welcomed Thursday night in Skhirate, Morocco’s efforts for the success of political talks aimed at reaching a peaceful solution the conflict in Libya.

“We hope that Morocco can have the honor of reunifying Libya and contribute to its reconciliation and reconstruction,” noted Mr. Cherif Ouafi, former member of the General National Congress, noting that discussions “are in line with an agreement between the parties on this blessed land “, Morocco.

He also said the delegation from the National Congress arrived in the early evening in Morocco, adding that the resumption of talks was adjourned for reasons including logistical.

During these discussions, the parties to the conflict will focus particularly on the issues of the formation of a national unity government, mandate and instruments to accompany the executive to make it the conditions necessary for success in his tasks , he said, adding that he also discussed security arrangements, disarmament of armed groups and the establishment of a cease-fire.

The delegation of the National Congress should propose on this occasion the names of candidates to join the next government, before returning to Libya to further discussions on this.

All parties provide a sustained effort during these talks, the first round took place between the 5th and 7th current Skhirate before pausing the proposal of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya ( MANUL) to allow the parties to “well prepared” for this phase “decisive” for negotiations.
