Nouakchott- Fourteen Mauritanian soldiers were killed and several others injured in a road accident that occurred on Chinguitty Atar-axis in the wilaya of Adrar in northern Mauritania, said Friday-state General Staff of the armed Forces.
“A military truck carrying a civil engineering section has an accident on the road Chinguitty-Atar, causing 14 deaths and injuries,” said a press release from the Department of Communication and Public Relations at the General Staff General of the armed forces.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces has set, the source said, all measures and airlifted the injured to the military hospital to receive the necessary care.
