Ten people brought before the Attorney General at Appeal Court in Salé
National Brigade of the Judicial Police has referred on Thursday to the General Public Prosecutor at the Court of Appeal of Rabat ten individuals for their alleged involvement in two cases related to terrorism.
Eight of the respondents are charged with “forming a criminal gang to prepare and commit terrorist acts as part of a collective project to seriously undermine public order through the intimidation, terror and violence and membership in a banned religious group “, said a judicial source.
The other two involved are prosecuted for “setting up a criminal gang to prepare and commit criminal acts in the context of a collective project to cause serious harm to public order and holding meetings without authorization” , added the same source.
The defendants are scheduled to appear in the day, before the investigating judge in charge of terrorism cases near the annex in Salé Court of Appeals for a preliminary hearing.
