The anti-terrorism bill passed in the Government Council in September, penalizes the act of joining or want to join a terrorist group, even if the terrorist acts are not intended to prejudice Morocco and its interests, to fight against the departure of jihadists to Iraq or Syria.
Also, the Moroccan authorities now have the opportunity to question and judge any foreign citizen on the territory of the kingdom and accused of terrorist crimes in other countries. The text will now be considered in plenary session.
