Yassir Zabiri Takes La Liga by Storm with Impressive Early-Season Form

Moroccan international forward Yassir Zabiri continues to shine for Racing Santander, delivering another stellar performance with a decisive brace in his team’s 2–1 victory over Alavés on Sunday during Matchday 5 of La Liga.

The 21-year-old striker is enjoying a remarkable start to the season in Spain after joining Racing Santander on loan this summer from French side Stade Rennais. Rennes had previously signed the Moroccan prospect from Portugal’s Famalicão for an estimated €10 million fee.

Zabiri first made headlines during his debut start on Matchday 3 against Elche, where he announced his arrival in style by netting a memorable hat-trick.

Against Alavés, Zabiri once again proved to be the difference-maker. He pulled Racing Santander back into the game with a 38th-minute equalizer before securing all three points with the winning goal in the 53rd minute.

With this latest double, the Moroccan international brings his tally to five goals in just five appearances this season. His clinical form has quickly established him as one of Racing Santander’s key attacking assets, helping propel the club to 10th place in La Liga with seven points.
