AMCI Takes Part in 5th International Cooperation Fair in Ibarra, with Morocco as Guest of Honor

A delegation comprising representatives of the Moroccan Agency for International Cooperation (AMCI), the Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco in Ecuador, and the Artificial Intelligence Research Center of Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P), took part in the 5th edition of the International Cooperation Fair – Territorial Edition, held on September 10 and 11 in Ibarra and organized by Ecuador’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Human Mobility, in partnership with the Municipality of Ibarra and the Provincial Government of Imbabura.

On this occasion, AMCI representatives highlighted the Kingdom of Morocco’s South-South Cooperation Policy, guided by the Vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him, underscoring the importance of innovation, technology and the sharing of expertise in supporting the Kingdom’s partner countries in addressing new development challenges, AMCI noted in a statement.

The Kingdom of Morocco’s participation as guest of honor is part of the cooperation between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Ecuador and illustrates the Kingdom’s commitment to South-South cooperation based on solidarity, the sharing of expertise and the development of mutually beneficial partnerships.

AMCI also took part in this major international gathering through a dedicated stand showcasing its missions, areas of intervention and experience in international cooperation, particularly with Latin American countries.

Alongside representatives of several countries and cooperation organizations, the delegation of the Moroccan Agency for International Cooperation (AMCI) and the Director of the Artificial Intelligence Research Center of Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) participated in panels devoted to “South-South and triangular cooperation: new mechanisms, partnerships and solidarity” and “Cooperation for territorial resilience”, organized around the overarching theme of strengthening the “International Cooperation Ecosystem 2.0: towards more coordinated, harmonious and effective cooperation.”

This participation helped highlight Moroccan expertise, as well as initiatives and good practices developed by the Kingdom in various areas of cooperation, particularly capacity building, experience sharing, and contributing to skills development and the implementation of structuring projects for the benefit of partner countries, the statement concludes.
