The Ministry of National Education, Preschool, and Sports has just sent a circular to sector officials specifying the start time for the new school year. In accordance with the new legal time adopted by the Kingdom, classes must begin promptly at 8 a.m. starting Saturday, September 20, 2026. Circular No. 2932/26 was sent to regional education directors, provincial directorates, inspectors, school principals, and teachers. It aims to regulate the organization of the school day to ensure a smooth return to school throughout the country.
The Ministry emphasizes that timetables must cover all the scheduled hours for each subject and grade level. It calls for rigorous management to avoid any educational gaps and guarantee the continuity of instruction. Furthermore, the department emphasizes the importance of developing balanced timetables that take available resources into account. The goal is to optimize human and material resources and ensure the smooth running of learning within schools.
