Japan Donates 31 Million Dirhams  to Reinforce Morocco Security

for a period of 21 months, the project aims to provide safety equipment and control of airports, to develop the capacities of Morocco in terms of safety.

Japan has granted Morocco on the 13th of July in Rabat, a donation amount of 31 million dirhams (MDH) for the realization of improved safety equipment project.

Signed by the Interior Minister Mohammed Assad, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Japan to Morocco, Tsuneo Kurokaxa and the Resident Representative of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) to the kingdom, that gift is to build capacity material of the Ministry of Interior through the provision of efficient equipment and safety control.

This funding is part of the non-reimbursable financial cooperation of Japan, aims to strengthen the surveillance system at the Mohammed V airport in Casablanca.

Lasting 21 months, the project aims to provide safety equipment and control of airports, to develop the abilities of Morocco in terms of safety.

JICA has participated since its installation in Morocco to finance 34 projects for a total loan amount of over 2.6 billion and a non-refundable financial assistance of $ 345 million. More than 1,000 Japanese volunteers remained in the kingdom, against nearly 1,400 Moroccans have received training in Japan.
