Kathmandu – The violent earthquake on April 25 Nepal has more than 7,000 dead and thousands injured, according to a new provisional toll statement issued Sunday by the National Emergency Operations Centre.
Precisely 7,040 people died and 14,000 were injured in the magnitude 7.8 earthquake that struck the Himalayan country. “These figures are expected to worsen,” said an official of the government agency.
Over a hundred people have also died in the disaster in China and India.
