President of the UNGA to vsit Morocco

New York – Morocco’s ambassador to the UN, Omar Hilale, presented on Friday, the President of the UN General Assembly, Sam Kutesa Kahamba, an invitation to travel to Morocco for a working visit, as said by official from the diplomatic representation of the Kingdom in New York.

Ambassador Omar Hilale handed “this morning the President of the sixty-ninth session of the UN General Assembly, HE Sam Kutesa Kahamba the invitation extended by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Mr. Salaheddine Mezouar for a working visit to Morocco, ” said the diplomatic official.

The President of the AG “was honored and delighted with this invitation, recalling that he had previously visited Morocco as Minister of State for Finance of his country, Uganda,” added the same source.

Mr Kutesa said that “it is an opportunity to see this country as President of the sixty-ninth session of the General Assembly and discuss with Moroccan officials of political issues that concern the world today, and instructed the ambassador to convey his thanks to Mr. Salaheddine Mezouar for inviting him to Morocco for a working visit, highlighting the important role played by the Kingdom at the United Nations, “the official continued.

During this interview, the President of the General Assembly welcomed “the decision of the Kingdom to host inter-Libyan talks” and stressed “the importance for the various Libyan parties to meet in Morocco, a country known for wisdom and moderation of its positions internationally, geographically close to Libya and trained in the virtues of dialogue, “said the diplomatic mission.
