Two individuals accused of indoctrination and recruitment of Moroccan fighters for Syria, have been arrested in Fez by The National Brigade of the Judicial Police (BNPJ), in collaboration with the Directorate General of the National Territory (DGST- domestic intelligence).
According to a statement from the Interior Ministry, recruited fighters were destined to join ‘terrorists’ organizations affiliated to Al Qaeda in coordination with active elements assets in the adjacent region to the Turkish-Syrian border.
According to the same source, Al Qaeda and its allies are determined to threaten the stability and security of Morocco, especially as these fighters receive military training before mobilization for their return to the motherland to implement their terrorist plans.
