“France will not use the Veto in Favor of Morocco”, tweeted The UN Ambassador Permanent Representative of France, Gerard Araud. The tweet comes as a response to Polisario and its allies among some NGOs, who accuse France of wanting to use its veto in the Security Council to block any resolution on the Sahara, which displease Rabat.
On his Twitter account Ambassador Araud wrote: “Once and for all, and I stop here. France is not threatening to use its veto power, directly or indirectly. The last French veto at the security council was in the 80s.”
